
Dr. Oleg Afanasyev: Hall Technologies’ Laboratory Manager
NewsIn April of 2017, Hall Technologies, Inc. welcomed Oleg Afanasyev, Ph.D, to our team as new Technical Service Laboratory Manager. Dr. Afanasyev comes to us from Dr. Tony Gichuhi’s lab at ICL Halox in St. Louis, Missouri. His primary role at Hall will be to provide laboratory testing for our specialty chemical customers and supplier partners.
An Expert in Chemical Analysis
Oleg Afanasyev received a degree in Chemical Engineering with a Ph.D in Chemistry. His background is in high performance coating formulation and testing and oilfield chemicals. He has been published in several world-renown journals concerning coatings technology, nano-particle materials, corrosion protection, and polymer chemistry. In addition, Oleg has coauthored several patents. His knowledge and expertise will make him a vital asset to Hall Technologies in providing high quality technical support.
Oleg Afanasyev joins our team of highly experienced technical sales representatives who represent over 30 principal suppliers across our expanding territory.
In our full service lab, Dr. Afanasyev has the capabilities to run tests using ASTM and ISO methods. These are meant to analyze paints, inks, powder coatings, aerosols, specialty coatings, architectural coatings, construction chemicals, and more. Our customers will benefit from his expert knowledge and industry experience.
Dr. Oleg Afanasyev’s Interests Outside of the Lab
Outside of work, Dr. Oleg Afanasyev enjoys spending time with this wife and three children. While he is originally from Kazan in Tatarstan, Russia, Oleg and his family have called the St. Louis area home for the past four years.
